I'm almost halfway through and I'm about to put it down forever. NOTHING has happened. But when something happens to cass, you read about it. Then she tells her husband about it. Then she tells her friend about it. Then she tells her doctor about it. All in excruciating detail, over and over. I LOVED Behind Closed Doors but this is killing me slowly I want to bang my head against the wall I absolutely loved the book Behind Closed Doors so I couldn't wait to read this one. But oh, what a disappointment this was compared to the last. The first half of the book was just plain redundant. Every single day is filled with Cass barely hanging on to reality. She constantly lies and she's weak. It could have been condensed into half the chapters. It was as if the author was trying to fill up space with the repetition.Finally, around the 60% mark, Cass begins to get wise and search for answers. You will have an idea of who the bad guys are after reading the first few chapters, so no surprises there. I was expecting so much more from this book and this author.
